Right to Campaign in Public

Collecting petitions in the street is a basic form of campaigning. So is gathering outside the offices of an unpopular company, to raise awareness of their conduct. Yet under current law this is largely not allowed on shopping streets that belong to private companies, or outside the offices of large multinationals who own the surrounding paved areas. This seems wrong to me - if a space is treated as publicly accessible for other purposes, it should be legitimately accessible to protestors too.

I've just signed a petition to support the right to campaign in public. The more of us take part, the stronger the message will be - click here to sign the petition
